ANNIVERSARIES: We remember in our prayers the repose of the soul of Thomas Kemnitz (6 / 2 / 96) May he rest in peace. Also for Ron Sproule who died recently. The funeral service will be held on Monday at noon.

YOUTH MINISTRY CONSULTATION: An evening for catechists, youth leaders, clergy to be part of shaping Youth Ministry for the future, in the Clifton Diocese. Meet our diocesan Coordinator of Youth Ministry and contribute to the work with young people in your area. The evening begins at 7.00pm and will finish by 8.30 pm. Refreshments are provided. LIVING YOUR FAITH SUMMER CAMPS: “The Diocesan Summer Camps which are once again taking place this year at Nympsfield. The camps are designed to give Catholic children and young adults the opportunity to explore their faith in an atmosphere of mutual support and fun. The young people will be encouraged to deepen their awareness of what it means to be a young Catholic in 2012. Fr. Tom Finnegan will assist us again as Chaplain.”
PARENTING TEENAGERS COURSE: Practical, down to earth and sensitive help on how to build a great relationship with your teenager. Designed for parents, step-parents, prospective parents or carers of young people from 11 to 18. Five Sessions on Mondays at 7:30 pm on February 27th, March 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th. DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES, 24th - 31st August 2012.: “As in previous year's, Clifton will be joining the dioceses of Southwark, Portsmouth, Northampton, East Anglia together with Stoneyhurst College and the Carmelites to form the Catholic Association. Having an umbrella group provides the necessary medical and mobility support for our sick pilgrims. The financial implications of a week in Lourdes can put many people off, so I am again arranging a coach (or coaches) to run from Clifton Cathedral directly to Lourdes. This could save between £150-£250 on travelling by air or train, and has proved to be very popular over the last two years with fully booked coaches.
To enable very sick members of our diocesan community to join us this year, I am arranging a Jumbulance to transport them from the Cathedral directly to their accommodation in Lourdes, be that the Accueil or a hotel. The hire of a Jumbulance is very expensive, but through some fund raising I have done and some donations from well-wishers, I am able to subsidise the cost to pilgrims.
